7 years ago I left for a year long trip alone to travel South America: I needed to discover who I was and what truly made me happy. A friend of mine recommended the book «Awareness» by Anthony de Mello; that was the start of a beautiful journey of self-inquiry and personal growth. I actively started immersing myself into the world of personal development, spirituality, mindfulness and meditation.
I was working as a marketing professional, but as the years passed I could not ignore my calling any longer. I left a 9 year career in marketing & communications to pursue coaching. Since I had already discovered the value of focusing on the good we have in life and the importance of being mindful of our thoughts, I was immediately drawn to Positive Psychology. I completed my MSc in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology from the University in East London with distinction. It’s the only course of its kind in the word! The most rewarding part of this study was that I got the opportunity to conduct my own research. I felt a calling to bridge spirituality with academia and created my own meditation program based on the Four Immeasurables of Buddhist teachings. I wanted to prove that connecting with your heart, helps diminish fear! Indeed that is what I accomplished...I measured the impact my program had on authenticity, hope and fear of the unknown. All variables were impacted positively and my paper is to by published soon.
To sum up, I have a BA in Communications from Panteion University Athens, an MSc in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology from the University of East London, a Diploma in Personal Coaching from Kingstown College Dublin, I am a level 1 Pranic Healing practitioner and a certified EFT practitioner. I don't think though that my studies quite make the difference, what does though is my commitment to growth on a personal level, that I have done (and I am still doing) "the work". Because there would be no other way for me to share my knowledge authentically with you.
I offer personal coaching and workshops around the world, on topics like meaning, authenticity, stress management, self-love and self-actualization. I have travelled the globe and made bold moves to create more meaning in my life and redefine happiness. I hope to inspire and help you to do the same!
When working with my clients I address Mind, Body and Spirit using a combination of the following methodologies:
Positive psychology is a scientific approach to studying human thoughts, feelings, and behavior with a focus on strengths instead of weakness, building the good in life instead of repairing the bad. As a field, positive psychology focuses on topics like character strengths, optimism, life satisfaction, happiness, well-being, gratitude, self-compassion self-esteem and self-confidence, hope, and elevation.
These topics are integrated in my coaching approach using evidence based interventions in order to help you flourish and live you best life.
Energy psychology (EP) is a collection of mind-body approaches for understanding and improving human functioning. EP focuses on the relationship between thoughts, emotions, sensations, and behaviors, and known bioenergy systems (such as meridians and the biofield). In my coaching approach I often integrate EFT (otherwise known as tapping), to release trapped energy in the body that has accumulated from challenging situations and reprogram beliefs that have occured from these.
Mindset coaching is dedicated to rewiring an individual's mindset, allowing them to be the very best version of themselves and to unlock their full potential. Our thoughts create our reality and are at the forefront of how we respond to life, our stress levels, our perception of what's possible and can either limit us to enable us to flourish. The choice is ours.
Mindfulness is the practice of maintaining a nonjudgmental state of heightened or complete awareness of one’s thoughts, emotions, or experiences on a moment-to-moment basis. This awareness lays the foundation for deep transformation to occur, as only what we are aware of; can we change.
Through various evidence-based exercises I help my clients cultivate a mindful approach to life so they are in the driver's seat of how they respond to various situations and they have the clarity to shift their focus away from things that do not serve them.
I have also created my own meditation program and as part of a research project I found that it has a direct positive impact on fear of the unknown, authenticity and hope. I give complimentary access to this program to all my clients.
